Digital Makeover Saves Chicago-Area Taxpayers $225k
A software system implemented by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) one year ago has paid for itself many times over by reducing labor, processing and printing costs by approximately $225,000 annually. The software system Legistar®, from Chicago-based firm Daystar, creates agendas, tracks agenda items, records votes and meeting minutes, and automatically publishes this data to the internet.
Chicago, IL (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 17, 2009 -- A software system implemented by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) one year ago has paid for itself many times over by reducing labor, processing and printing costs by approximately $225,000 annually.
As an independent government and taxing body encompassing almost all of Cook County, Illinois, and charged with improving water quality, the savings realized by the district are a value improvement for Chicago-area taxpayers.

The system is used by numerous cities, counties and governmental organizations across the country, including Illinois villages Lombard, Downers Grove, Romeoville and Orland Park, as well as many larger cities such as New York, San Francisco, and Milwaukee.
