Professional Network Launched For Local Governments

GovCommunity is a professional networking facility that provides an exclusive communication forum for city and county officials and employees. It is provided at no cost by GovQA, the nation's leader in helping local governments assist and communicate with citizens.

Woodridge, IL. (PRWEB) April 30, 2009 -- GovQA, a subsidiary of WebQA, today unveiled GovCommunity (www.govcommunity.org), a no-cost professional networking facility that provides an exclusive communication vehicle for local government officials and employees. Through a national forum, GovCommunity members establish relationships with other local governments of all sizes and share information and ideas.

Within GovCommunity, users build profiles to establish how often, how much and on what topics they wish to participate. A sophisticated, bi-directional email correspondence system then helps users share opinions, post questions and discuss topics based upon their profiles. Users can also tailor government news feeds to their liking. The service offers a more formal, controlled and extensive information exchange than other networking platforms.

"GovCommunity is an easy and organized way for cities and counties to communicate with each other," said John Dilenschneider, CEO of WebQA. "We're seeing members discussing timely topics such as stimulus handling, budgets and crime prevention. As the leader in communication and service platforms for cities and counties, we feel it is our responsibility to provide local governments with their own forum."

GovCommunity harvests key functionality from the core GovQA product line such as dynamic knowledgebases, comprehensive workflow routing schemes and content management algorithms.
Government officials and employees from municipal leagues in Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Missouri and Texas already are using a private variation of GovCommunity to communicate among their members.

Government employees and officials can sign-up for GovCommunity at www.GovCommunity.org.
