According to the US Drug Watchdog, "we want to hear from any Zicam Nasal Gel or Zicam Nasal Swab user who has lost their sense of smell." The group says, "on June 16, 2009, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration advised consumers to stop using products marketed over-the-counter as cold remedies because they are associated with the loss of sense of smell (anosmia). Anosmia may be long-lasting or permanent. The products include: Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Gel, Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs and Zicam Cold Remedy.
