The US Drug Watchdog Wants To Talk To Possible Victims Of The Nasal Spray Zicam Who Have Lost Their Sense Of Smell

According to the US Drug Watchdog, "We want to hear from possible victims of the nasal spray Zicam, who may have lost their sense of smell." The group says, "On June 16th 2009, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration advised consumers to stop using products marketed over-the-counter as cold remedies because they are associated with the loss of sense of smell (anosmia). According to the FDA, "It has now come to light the Zicam nasal product maker failed to tell the FDA about 800 consumer complaints." The products include: Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Gel, Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs and Zicam Cold Remedy Swabs, Kids Size (a discontinued product)."
