Data Killers Deemed "Textbook" Worthy

As the recognized leader in data destruction practices, Data Killers has once again been featured as the standard setting company in textbooks across the US.

(Vocus/PRWEB ) June 20, 2009 -- Data Killers will be featured in the textbook titled, Understanding Computers: Today and Tomorrow, 13th Edition by Deborah Morley. The seven hundred page, definitive textbook is scheduled to be released February 2010 and will be Data Killers' second feature in one of Morley's textbooks. The company was previously featured in the 12th edition including photographs in the text and a video available through the Online Companion Web site.

"We have consistently set the standard nationwide in terms of thoroughness and security for data destruction," remarked Elizabeth Wilmot, President. "We are delighted to be the thought leader as well as the performance leader in this arena," continued Wilmot. "We are the only company who holds two major government contracts for data destruction as well as being certified by the Defense Logistics Information Services to store and transport military critical information so our Certificates of Destruction have become nationally recognized."

"Data destruction has become an increasingly important component of computer policy for every company and agency over the last several years," said Zack Boorstein, Vice President. "We are one of the few companies that truly understand the laws, rules and regulations governing media destruction from sensitive corporate information to classified government information," continued Boorstein. "We are delighted to be featured and recognized by this renowned author."

Author Deborah Morley has written more than ten popular computer textbooks and her Understanding Computers textbook is viewed as one of the leading college texts on computer concepts and is used at numerous colleges across the country. Morley's textbook, Understanding Computers, 13th Edition, gives students a well-rounded, classic introduction to computer concepts with an exciting modern twist.

Data Killers, a division of Turtle Wings Electronics Recycling, a woman-owned, hub-zoned company, holds the federal government contract for shredding and disposal of hard drives and back-up tapes.
