Headliner Bands Rock the Outdoor Stage At Bannockburn Green 2nd Annual Summer Concert Series

Talented artists bring music to the Plaza in Bannockburn Green's 2nd Annual Summer Concert Series. Performances will entertain young and old with a sampling of jazz/blues, rock, and big band sounds. Free Friday night concerts are scheduled (rain or shine) for 7pm - 9pm, July 24, July 31, August 7, and August 14, 2009 (see schedule of performers below).

Friday, July 24, 2009:
• Paul Green and The School of Rock, 7-8 pm. Be inspired by up-and-coming young adult musicians. This one-hour performance is a rousing show of unbelievable talent, unleashed creativity, and amazing sound.
• Chicago Legend Katherine Davis with The School of Rock, 8-9 pm

World-class blues vocalist Katherine Davis adds her flair to The School of Rock. Raised on the music of the famous Muddy Waters, Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Nancy Wilson, Davis is known for her expressive voice and performs at the world's largest festivals and venues. Friday, July 31, 2009:
Daryl Coutts, Joseph "JB" Brown and Roberto Agusto Jazz and Blues Stars, 7-9 pm.

Back by popular demand, this was last year's biggest crowd pleaser. Mr. Coutts' seven decades of music performance and Mr. Brown's sweet saxophone style bring every audience to their feet. Both have shared the stage with the world's jazz greats and promise to stir up some serious tunes. Rounding out the group is long-time friend and bass player Roberto Agusto, who played with Robert Plant, BB King, Buddy Guy, Doobie Brothers, and Leslie West, among others.

Tap your toes, dance, or simply reminisce to the mellow, big band sounds of a dreamy era. Stardust is an updated rendition of one very popular "d骠 vu" big band that packed the house for consecutive 12 years.
