New DVD-Based Child Care Training Program Released by Onsite Early Childhood Training

Child care centres can save valuable time and money with the launch of Onsite Early Childhood Training's new DVD-based staff training program. Customizable to each centre's needs, the DVD training programs allow child care centre directors and managers to determine the type and extent of training that staff receive, and allow staff to be trained on-site and at the centre's convenience.

Jannali, NSW, Australia (PRWEB) April 7, 2009 -- Onsite Early Childhood Training is proud to announce the release of its new DVD-based child care staff training program. The result of two years of research and development, the program provides child care centres all of the elements necessary for staff training, covering a vast array of topics related to child care issues and is customized to each centre's specific training needs.

"Onsite Early Childhood Training's new DVD-based training program allows any child care centre a unique opportunity to take full control of the type and depth of training that its staff receives, which is a fundamental aspect in the value of care that the centre provides to its customers", says Gary Nickless, Media and Operations Manager at Onsite Early Childhood Training.

Staff training in the child care profession is one of the leading areas of stress for centre directors and managers. With so many other important aspects to the job, staff simply cannot afford the time and expense of traditional training programs. Onsite Early Childhood Training spent two years researching child care training programs around the world to develop its revolutionary new DVD-based training program and sessions, which provide current, up-to-date training sessions that allow staff to train as a team, on-site and at little cost to the centre.

The training is a membership-style program where child care centres are sent a new DVD full of training material every two months so staff can build a valuable, readily available training resource. With the DVD program, a centre's staff does not have to travel and can be trained onsite in the environment where they will be providing care. In addition, the DVD allows staff to be trained as a team rather than individuals.

Customized to the areas in which each centre needs the most support, the DVDs are a source of affordable ongoing training, and can be used to reduce the costs of training new and casual staff members. And with a condensed format of no more than 20 minutes each, the DVDs do not subtract from a centre's valuable time, either.

"We recently had a staff meeting where we had the opportunity to preview some of the training from Onsite Early Childhood Training. It was a great opportunity for our staff to get together in one place and do some really invaluable training. It meant that we didn't have to send one staff member offsite, and then ask that staff member to come back to the center and try and train the other staff. It was a convenient way for all of our staff to view training at the same time. The training was also really inspirational and came with some really practical ideas that staff can implement really easily within the center", says Lorna King, director at Norwest Child Care Centre.
