Educational Conference Promotes Effective Strategies for Teaching At-Risk Students

Conference for elementary and secondary educators provides strategies and resources on dropout prevention, closing the achievement gap, and classroom content areas.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) February 4, 2009 -- The latest practices to address the needs of struggling learners will be discussed at the 4th annual "Reaching At-Promise Students National Conference," to be held February 20-22, 2009, in San Diego, California. Co-hosted by the Reaching At-Promise Students Association (RAPSA) and the School for Integrated Academics and Technologies (SIATech), this three-day event provides workshops, speakers, and resources relevant to elementary and secondary educators.

Participants will explore ways to motivate and empower their students, increase academic achievement and curb current drop-out trends, and will have opportunities for professional growth and networking with colleagues committed to education.
