The edWeb Receives Funding Support from MCH to Help Spread the Word about a New Networking and Collaboration Website for Educators

Today, the founder and CEO of the edWeb, Lisa Schmucki, announced that the edWeb has received funding support from MCH, Inc., the leading compiler of business-to-institution databases.

With the edWeb, teachers and administrators can share best practices, information on what's working, and support each other across schools, districts, states, and the country. Schools and districts can use the edWeb to build professional learning communities and work collaboratively to implement new programs and school reforms.

The edWeb is free for educators and gives districts and schools a wide range of social networking tools to move forward faster with any initiative. The edWeb helps educators develop 21st century skills and introduces the benefits of social networking for collaboration and learning.

The edWeb addresses the need expressed by many leaders and policy groups for online learning communities that can provide sustainable professional development opportunities for teachers.
