Publisher Alleges Peace Mom" Endangers Soldiers

Conservative publisher says Cindy Sheehan and fellow anti-war protestors are emboldening terrorists; challenges them to read book supporting Bush. Stop putting other American soldiers at risk."

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 30, 2005 -- A conservative publisher is charging that the actions of Cindy Sheehan, the anti-war activist who is staging high profile protests in the name of her fallen son, are endangering Americas soldiers in Iraq, and he is challenging her to listen to the other side of the story.

Although Sheehan continues to attract national media attention for her demands to meet with President George W. Bush, the head of World Ahead Publishing is asking the so-called Peace Mom" to challenge her own anti-war beliefs by reading a recent book that defends the presidents policies. The publisher is sending complimentary copies of Thank You, President Bush" (hardback: $24.99; ISBN 0974670111) -- an anthology written by the nations most famous conservatives that defends the Bush Administrations policies -- to the makeshift camp of Sheehan and her fellow protestors in Crawford, Texas.

I am challenging Sheehan to read 'Thank You, President Bush and in the process to educate herself about the dangers of the radical policies she advocates," says Eric M. Jackson, World Aheads president. While we all mourn the loss of Army Specialist Casey Sheehan, Cindy Sheehans grief does not mean that her anti-war beliefs are correct, or that she should continue to put other American soldiers at risk by emboldening our enemies through her actions."

Sheehans vigil near President Bushs Texas ranch has received extensive news coverage throughout the usually quiet month of August, but Jackson contends that Sheehans political views deserve to be marginalized. He notes that in a speech earlier this month Sheehan is quoted as saying, [My son died for oil.... My son died to make [Bushs friends rich." She also asserted that she would like to proclaim to the president: You're taking away our freedoms. The Iraqi people aren't freer, they're much worse off than before you meddled in their country. You get America out of Iraq, you get Israel out of Palestine."

Sheehan also indicated to MSNBCs Chris Matthews that she opposed the U.S. liberation of Afghanistan, and she has called the Iraqi terrorists who killed her son freedom fighters."

It appears that Sheehans radical left-wing politics are as much a motivating factor as her grief," says Jackson. I believe that reading 'Thank You, President Bush will be an invaluable educational experience for her, an opportunity to rethink her misguided beliefs."

Thank You, President Bush" contains contributions from a host of noteworthy conservative and libertarian leaders, including George Shultz, Bill Bennett, John Ashcroft, Phyllis Schlafly, Grover Norquist, Steve Moore, and James Dobson. Florida Governor Jeb Bush, the presidents brother, penned the introduction, and the volume was edited by entrepreneur Aman Verjee and Vanguard PAC chairman Rod D. Martin.

It is my hope that Cindy Sheehan takes this opportunity to learn how the liberation of Iraq and Afghanistan is going to make the world safer," adds Jackson, because her antics are endangering Caseys fellow soldiers, and the retreat from Iraq that she advocates would ultimately put Americas citizens in greater risk."
